Our Families

For our anniversary, we went to Japan for four days.  We had a great trip.  We got to experience Osaka which is a city of several million people.  It is a huge trading and manufacturing center - it has a higher GNP than all but 8 countries!  We also explored Kyoto for a couple days as well.  Kyoto is smaller and has more cultural relics to see and is close to pretty mountain scenery.  Our limited first impression was that Japan is diverse, expensive, clean,  westernized and it pays attention to detail - everything is a piece of art.

We rode the bullet train between the cities. These trains go up to 168 miles/hour!

This Osaka subway is only somewhat crowded - they can pack 'em in tighter than this!
