Our Families

This was the highlight of our trip.  Did you know that if you take all the sections of the Great Wall that have been built since the 7th or 8th Century B.C. and link them together, it is 35,000 miles long?  It's simply amazing.  We heard that the biggest tourist spot on the Wall was very crowded and had a McDonald's on it.  We decided we would definitely not go that route.  We got to hike a 5 mile stretch that was very quiet and hadn't been restored.  Our group only saw 6 other people the whole day.  It was a tiring day, but well worth the effort for the experience.

We hiked through 30 watchtowers - each with incredible views from their windows.
